Brought my prince to have his jab and 3rd month assessment assessed. Had intended to go early morning but was raining so I waited till almost 10am, after he had his milk then set off. My little prince was busy 'surveying', turning his head left and right, right to left and left to right since he's not sleeping this time as there are many vehicles on the road, with the greenery and buildings. He is always very curious, like other babies. Even at his own house and room, it seems like there are forever new things for him to discover. The way he look around the room and house was like as if it's his first time there. Haha.
Anyway, let's get back on track.
Was lucky that there isn't many ppl there at the clinic. I registered and was waiting for my prince's turn. Saw some mummies with their newborn babies and some who looked around my prince's age. Really envy these mummies because they are so slim while I still look like I am 4 to 5 months pregnant when my baby is already 3 months old! *red eyes*
As my prince sounded like he has some phlegm (I thought I heard that since yesterday), the nurse asked if I would like to see the doctor first to see if he's able to take the jab today before they give the jab or just to go ahead with it. I was told that their practice is to give the jab to the baby first then proceed to see the doctor for assessment. I replied I would prefer to see the doctor first since we are not sure if my prince can take the jab.
Time to feed my prince but I had hoped my prince was able to wait till after he had his jab so that he can have a good, peaceful sleep after that. Fortunately the wait was short and when I get to see the doctor, I do not like him although he looked macho and quite good looking. Why? Because he looked very proud, 'can't be bothered type' and does not seem to like children *roll eyes*. Okay, alright, I know I cannot judge a book by it's cover but the way he talked, asked questions and handled my prince definitely pissed me out. Not a very pleasant meeting with him today, and that's for sure.
Checked his record in his health booklet after the assessment. Actually the doctor did not really assess him much, just took a look into his eyes, felt his tummy and tested his testicles, that's all. My prince's weight, height and head circumference beat his sister by some bit. He is weighing at 6.5kg and growing at the length of 60cm by 3 months and 3 days.
Oh no, my prince was getting more and more cranky and impatient. I knew he's quite hungry and tired by then as he has not been sleeping since morning! Tried my best to pacify him a bit in case he gets noisy and disturb the rest (lucky he's not noisy, only making some sounds which sounded like 'protest' and grumbles, haha)
Finally it's his turn for the 'ouchy couch ouch poke'. He had his oral polio first which he 'complained' a bit, then came the bit of the wonderful 'waaahaah melody'
While waiting around the counter for the nurse to pass us our assessment book and card, I saw a notice from the National Library informing that a goody bag which consists of a Baby Journal and a CD (with rhymes, stories, songs and poems) will be given to those whose going to be a mummy and those mummies who have babies born after Jan 2007. What a good news! Being a typical Singaporean, how can I miss such opportunity since I am just nearby the library and what's more, it is FREE! *blush*
*P.S : I do not always do that unless like today, I am just near by. Hehe.
Anyway, had went through the Journal and find that it's not bad but have yet to listen to the CD. Tried to upload the pic of the items here but not sure if there's some problem with my pc or my hp, it went dead out of a sudden while I was trying to upload the pics to my pc!
But I promise that I will try to upload the pic of the items here as soon as I am able to fix the problem for those mummies or daddies who may be interested to have a look, else, sorry.
Life is full of ups n downs n itz always like a dream but it is good to dream, be it good or bad - waking up to a new beginning, a new chapter, a new life. :)
