Was supposed to have operated my lipoma (tentatively diagnosed as a lipoma until my operation for further confirmation) about a year ago but was fortunate that I realised that I was pregnant just the night before my appt with the surgeon who had intended to operate on me the very next day! What a 'narrow escape' for my baby
Actually I am having this lipoma at the back of my shoulder for a few years already. My lipoma had grown much bigger now and at times it feels hard too. The most concerning part is that it hurts! My last measurement last month measured almost 6cm and mine is deep right under the muscles' area, thus the surgeon told me that it is quite impossible for me to go for LA (local anesthesia). She had arranged for me to go under GA (general anesthesia) next month (which I requested as my gal would be on school holidays, easier to arrange for someone to help me look after her). I was also informed that should the cavity's very big, they will need to insert a tube inside to drain out the fluid and blood and I will have to be hospitalised for at least a day (duration shall depend on the outcome of the op) instead of discharging after the op.
A blood test was done at the clinic and I was briefed on the procedures and documentations etc pertaining to the operation next month. Now I have to start to look around to see who can help me look after my by then only 3 months old baby day and night as I won't be able to carry and look after him for at least 1-2 weeks after my op Now just pray that mine is a benign one after the biopsy.
Life is full of ups n downs n itz always like a dream but it is good to dream, be it good or bad - waking up to a new beginning, a new chapter, a new life. :)
